FRENCH VOICE OVER: MY PORTFOLIO

MY FRENCH VOICE OVER PORTFOLIO

In my voice over portfolio are a few examples of my work as aFrench voice actor - click on the images to listen to my work in each of the voice over sectors in which I work: commercials, corporate, narration, network imaging, characters (video games, animation), and voice overs in English.

I have been a French voice actor since 1994, so the films you'll find in each category are obviously only a small sample of my portfolio. That said, they should give you an idea of my work, my voice, my versatility, and my ability to respond to my clients' requests and needs.

Pierre Maubouché French voice actorAs you can hear from my work, I'm a versatile voice actor. I don't mean that I'm a 'voice chameleon'. Most people who describe themselves as such aren't: they're simply trying to 'cast a wide net', rather than concentrating on the registers in which they're capable of working. In over 30 years in the business, the number of truly 'chameleon voice actors' I've met can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Being a versatile voice actor doesn't mean being able to do Tweety, Sylvester, the young lead, Callas and Stallone. It means being at the service of your clients, listening to producers' and artistic directors' directions, being able to adapt to requests, to offer interpretations that not only meet the briefs, but also go beyond expectations.

Whether it's for commercials, corporate films, network imaging, video games, animation or narration, you're entitled to expect a voice actor to do more than 'read aloud' - artificial intelligence does that very well. You want them to speak and connect with your audience, so that they get the message you want to get across, and AI can't do that. Your audience hears the difference, and I hope you'll hear it too when you listen to my work, here or on my website or on my Youtube voice over channel.

As voice actors, our job is first and foremost to listen and add value to the script, whether it's a TV spot, a corporate film, a sweeper, a video game character, an audiobook, or an explainer.

When you record in a commercial studio, you expect - and rightly so - impeccable sound. Any voice actor working from his own recording studio should be able to assure you that the sound produced in his studio is just as impeccable, matt but not dull, lively but without reverb, and free of extraneous noise. I can guarantee you such a sound with my professionally designed and custom-built voice over recording studio..
