Louis Dreyfus Company is a global leader in commodity trading, founded in France in 1851 and still largely owned by the founding family. The group operates in agriculture, energy and shipping, with activities spanning every continent.

Fun fact: American actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, best known for her roles in Seinfeld and Veep, comes from this industrial dynasty: she is the heiress to this vast family empire.
