Released in November 2012 and developed by 343 Industries (a Microsoft studio) for the Xbox 360, Halo 4 revitalises the saga by continuing the story of Master Chief and Cortana. The campaign pits the Chief against the Didact and the mysterious Prometheans, with a more cinematic approach, while the multiplayer introduces fresh modes and the episodic co-op experience Spartan Ops. With upgraded visuals and an immersive soundtrack by Neil Davidge, Halo 4 reinvigorates the series while staying true to its iconic FPS gameplay.
